A voice for minorities

I am a transman, and I am proud of who I am.
Along my journey of embracing my self-identity, I met many people who inspired me to see what transgender person can be like. So, after my transition, I am willing to advocate for trans community and become active volunteer for social equality movement.
I have volunteered in various events, from fundraising dinners, gender education camps, to transgender marches. I seize very chance that I can to speak out for gender minority. I am also an active member in gender-focus NGOs in Taipei. Recently we are launching a program to be guest lecturers in schools, by telling our story to students to show how one can born female and become a male, and what we have to face as a transgender person.
“ Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” - Helen Keller
I feel particularly empowered when participating in these events and movement. I know that as a minority we are often excluded from society, but we use our way to let the society see our existence, to influence society’s perception and to recognize us.

Realness - Transman
Ballroom culture is an integral part of transgender meta-history, and through a friend’s introduction, I attended a prom in Taipei and won the trans men’s trophy.

As most of the transgender related information was mostly kept private in the trans community, I self-taught myself website building so that information could be accessible for those prospects, who may not have connection to join the community. I feel proud when I think of the fact that this website already shows up as the first search result for several transgender-related keywords in Chinese.
