Background

In late 2022, I was approached by Churacos to revamp their website for the Singapore market. The company was facing challenges in promoting their products due to the scarcity of English content online. Utilizing my expertise in SEO, I devised a comprehensive plan to improve their online presence. The plan consisted of four key components - a product review program, social media content creation, building an English website, and integrating information. These actions aimed to increase awareness and drive more traffic to the website.

English website building and information integration

  1. Create a header and navigation that is user-friendly and easy to use.
  2. Compile frequently asked questions from customers, organize them into a Q&A format, and utilize collapsible containers to enhance the user experience.
  3. Write articles with a focus on optimizing for target keywords.
  4. Incorporate images and write descriptive alt text to make the website accessible to those with visual impairments.
  5. Gather feedback from reviewers and link their social accounts to increase the credibility of the reviews.
  6. Install Google Analytics and Google Search Console to monitor the website's search results.
  7. Utilize multiple channels for driving traffic to the website, such as Facebook, Instagram, Medium, and YouTube.

Content Planning

Starting from the product information that customers want to know, I organized the product content and combined it with pictures and text to present each theme on the website product page, including:

  • A concise product description
  • The main functions and targeted skin conditions of the product
  • How to use and how to absorb better
  • Commonly asked questions
  • Real customer feedback
  • Product quality certification and awards
  • Available platforms for purchase

Product Review Program

Establishing more trustworthy real feedback. As the product has not been sold in the Singapore market for long, I planned a cooperation plan with influencers. I actively contacted these potential partners through social media and managed customer data through an online registration system, continuously tracking usage. Finally, their experiences and comments were collected on the website.

  1. Plan and coordinate with your overseas team regarding the recruitment process.
  2. Create clear and informative recruitment posts and pages, including all necessary program details.
  3. Utilize Stripo to craft professional email invitation letters, complete with a clear call-to-action (CTA) button to increase the project's joining rate.
  4. Identify potential collaborators on Instagram, with a focus on key opinion leaders (KOLs) and mothers.
  5. Reach out to these potential collaborators through direct messaging (DM), utilizing a cold-calling technique.
  6. Use Linktree to construct a mini-page that will link to various landing pages.
  7. Keep track of participant information using Google Forms, and regularly monitor the status and feedback of your collaborators.
  8. Finally, be sure to incorporate any and all relevant reviews into your website.

Results

The results were impressive, with the website's ranking skyrocketing from 19th place to 9th place within just one week of launch. This resulted in a 200% increase in click-through rate. The website not only attracted more traffic from Singapore, but also from other English-speaking countries such as the United States, India, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. The company's Instagram account also saw a significant boost, growing by 210% within just 5 months thanks to the inclusion of informative content and customer reviews.

Applying Artificial Intelligence in the Workplace

There has been a growing interest and discussion surrounding the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in various fields. As a result, I decided to explore the potential of AI and put it into practice.

Recently, I received materials from a partner in a product review program, which were not optimal due to the lack of voice-overs. This was a challenge as voice-overs play a crucial role in conveying ideas and capturing the attention of viewers on social media.

To overcome this issue, I utilized ChatGPT, an AI language model, to generate content. I then employed Microsoft Azure's Text to Speech technology to synthesize a female voice with a Singaporean accent. Finally, I utilized Clipchamp's Auto-caption function to add subtitles to the edited video.

This was my first experience with AI assistance, and it has provided me with a glimpse into the rapidly changing world we live in. I believe that it is crucial to continuously educate oneself and keep up with the latest advancements in technology.
